Seven years of working across automotive, medical, professional services, and trades gave us something most specialist agencies lack — a deep understanding of what actually moves the needle across different buyer types. Started as a full-service digital agency in Vancouver, BC, working with businesses across medical, automotive, retail, professional services, and early construction clients. Seven years of diverse experience built the playbook.

The 2021 Pivot — A Deliberate Choice

After building a strong track record across multiple sectors, we recognized that construction and trades had a massive underserved market. Most agencies avoided the complexity of local SEO for contractors. We ran toward it.

From a freelance operation in 2017 to Canada’s #1 construction marketing agency — the honest version of how we got here.

2017 - The Beginning

Founded in Vancouver, BC

Started as a full-service digital marketing agency in Vancouver — website design, SEO, and Google Ads for local businesses. First clients spanned auto glass, professional services, and retail. Small team, big ambition, and a belief that local businesses deserved better digital marketing than what was available to them.

2018–19 - Building Across Sectors

Medical, Automotive, Retail & Early Construction

Grew the client roster across industries — medical and healthcare marketing, automotive (RV repair, auto parts, auto glass), retail e-commerce, professional services, and the first construction clients including siding and roofing contractors. Every sector taught us something different about conversion intent and local trust signals.

2020 - The Signal

Construction Clients Outperformed Everything

Despite having clients across many sectors, construction SEO campaigns were delivering disproportionately strong results. The combination of high search volume, strong local intent, and underserved competition meant contractor clients saw faster rankings and higher ROI than almost any other category. The data was pointing us in a clear direction.

2021 - The Pivot

Going All-In On Construction & Trades

Made the deliberate decision to focus primarily on construction, trades, and home services. Turned down several non-construction projects. Rebuilt our entire keyword research library, content frameworks, and city page systems specifically for roofing, siding, renovation, suppliers, and home services. Started ranking clients on page 1 faster than ever before. Existing non-construction clients — including select automotive and professional services accounts — were retained and are still with us today.

2022–23 - National Expansion

Calgary, Edmonton, Toronto & First US Clients

Reputation spread beyond Metro Vancouver — first Calgary roofing clients, Edmonton HVAC contractors, and Toronto renovation companies. First US client in Seattle. Launched a dedicated Google Ads division for construction, now managing over $4M in annual ad spend. Direct Cedar Supplies became our flagship e-commerce success story — ranking 140+ cedar product keywords across Canada and the US Pacific Northwest.

2023 - Innovation

Launching AEO — Before Anyone Else in Construction

As Google AI Overviews and ChatGPT changed how homeowners search, we built the first Answer Engine Optimization (AEO) service specifically for construction contractors. Our clients now appear in AI-generated answers when homeowners ask “who’s the best roofer in Vancouver?” — a first-mover advantage most competitors still haven’t caught up to.
